Brooke McGlothlin
Brooke McGlothlin received her B.S. in psychology from Virginia Tech and her master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University. For over ten years, she served as director of clinical services in a local pregnancy care ministry before making the best choice of her life—to stay home with her boys. Brooke uses her ministry experience to reach women, writing to bring hope to the messes of life in the midst of her own messy life.
In 2010, Brooke cofounded Raising Boys Ministries with Erin Mohring and equipped parents of boys to raise godly men for over nine years. In 2019, they launched a new ministry, Million Praying Moms, which exists to help moms make prayer their first and best response to the challenges of parenting.
Brooke now leads Million Praying Moms solo and hosts the Million Praying Moms podcast. You can find her writing and creating prayer resources for today’s Christian moms at the Million Praying Moms blog. Her books include Praying for Boys: Asking God for the Things They Need Most; Unraveled: Hope for the Mom at the End of Her Rope; How to Control Your Emotions, So They Don’t Control You: A Mom’s Guide to Overcoming; Gospel Centered Mom: The Freeing Truth About What Your Kids Really Need; and Praying Mom: Making Prayer the First and Best Response to Motherhood.
Brooke, her husband, and their two sons make their home in the mountains of Appalachia, calling southwestern Virginia home.
