President and CEO of Carol McLeod Ministries, Carol McLeod is a best-selling author and popular speaker at women’s conferences and retreats, where she teaches the Word of God with great joy and enthusiasm. She encourages and empowers women with passionate and practical biblical messages mixed with her own special brand of hope and humor.
Her last two books with Whitaker House received prestigious awards. At Home in Your Heart won second place in the 2023 Selah Awards in the devotional category. Rooms of a Mother’s Heart, a devotional for moms, won the 2022 Director’s Choice Award from the Blue Ridge Writers Conference.
Carol’s recent titles include Timeless: The Living and Enduring Word of God, which dives into the book of 1 Peter, and Meanwhile: Meeting God in the Wait, which examines the life of Joseph in Genesis 37–50 and what it means to “wait well” as God labors behind the scenes to work all things together for our good and for His glory.
Her teaching DVD, The Rooms of a Woman’s Heart, won the Telly Award for excellence in religious programming. Carol’s Significant Women podcast, which encourages women in every season of life that their story matters, ranks in the top 10 percent of all podcasts internationally.
Carol has also written twenty-five devotionals for YouVersion that have been downloaded nearly four million times around the world. Her weekly blog, Joy for the Journey, has been named in the Top 50 Faith Blogs for Women. Carol also writes a weekly column in Ministry Today.
She was the first women’s chaplain at Oral Roberts University and received the university’s prestigious Alumna of the Year award for distinguished service to God in 2021.
Carol wed her college sweetheart, Craig, in 1977. She is the mother of five children in heaven and five children on earth. Carol and Craig also happily answer to “Marmee and Pa” for their captivating grandchildren.
