Wayne Huirua

Wayne Huirua is a worship leader, a consultant, a teacher, a speaker, and an author who has been in full-time ministry together with his wife, Libby, for almost thirty years. Although they have served in many ministry capacities, they are known best for their work with Parachute Band, a worship band that touched the world with a decade of New Zealand-based worship music. Today, Wayne and Libby are on the pastoral staff of Equippers Church Auckland, their home church of over twenty-one years, and are directors of Equippers Creative Lab, a school for the development of Christian Artists and Ministers. They have established the New Zealand Worship Network for the encouragement of worship leaders and worship teams of the nation and are actively traveling, speaking, leading, and teaching at churches and conferences globally. They are based in Auckland, New Zealand, and have two children, Grace and Josh.
